So excited,
For the warmth of a blazing sun
And air that only my lungs can notice a difference in.
I'm excited for new terrains to brush up against
The soles of my feet with,
For beauty that goes untouched.
So very excited for the flavors,
The comfort of culture.
For the sweet aroma of café con no azúcar por favor.
I'm excited about a new tongue,
A native voice
I will only skim the surface of.
So unbelievably excited for the people.
The people beside me,
In front and behind me.
Excited for culture to take its root
In my soul
And branch out through my eyes to see what is staring me back.
Excited for my Lord,
For my Savior
To mold my heart into a new form.
Excited to watch the hearts
Of others turn,
And to grow close to hearts near me.
I'm excited
For the possibly thick, hot wind
To catch my hair in a wave.
For the creation of
The One to lower me to the ground,
Closer to His core.
The One who is with me,
And the One who is for me
Is the One who has sparked this exuberant excitement inside of me.
So now I will go,
To seek what He sees
And learn of all the things that excite me.
