Hello family and friends! I know it’s been about a week since I’ve posted, however, I’ve been experiencing a lot of newness along with adjusting to this way of life for the next 6 weeks. We also don’t have wifi near us, but someone has graciously extended there hotspot to me so I can continue posting blogs. So much has happened in the past week that I haven‘t fully processed, so I decided to make this a photo blog. Enjoy the photos below with a brief description following each one. I love you all and continue to ask for your prayers for my squad and I as we navigate all this newness in the pursuit of sharing the gospel!

Levi, Kara, Daegan and I (left to right) waiting outside the airport in San José, Costa Rica for our ride to Nicoya.

An iguana (center) chilling on a tree in the city of Nicoya. Iguanas are are massive here and very common in Costa Rica.

Walking down a road in the heat of the sun with mountains ahead of us. The temperature reaches above 90 degrees everyday with a common UV count of 11.

Our first Sunday morning at the church we stay at! Pastor Basilio (our host) asked us each to share a part of our testimony with the congregation.

Me and one of my wonderful leaders, Raquel. She is a true gift from God! Her light shines bright and her love for the Lord and for others is most admirable.

A view from an evening walk down the road. I so wish I could capture a photo with my eyes, because then you would see and feel what I saw and felt while looking at this.

This is Pastor Basilio, our wonderful host! We are staying in his church with his wife and two sons. He is an incredible man that I’ve already become so fond of!

Our feelings about washing the boys’ laundry in exchange for ice cream (first and last time). The water was quite brown…lol.

My squad (you can see all their names and pictures if you click on “meet the squad” on my blog website) in front of a church in Nicoya that was built over 400 years ago. Nicoya is a colonial city that highly values tradition.

Some squad mates and I on a walk, checking out the area around us. Lots of beautiful views from grasslands to tropical forests to big mountains.

A mini piña we found growing on a plant at this home we were invited to.

Dailey and I with our matching tank tops and braids. We were twins for the day so we had to document it!

These are the leaves of a tree. This green color has to be my all time favorite color!

Interesting trees that caught my eye on an evening walk. Plus there’s a pretty sky for a backdrop.
